About the Role:

System Test Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop manual and automated test cases based on system requirements and functional specs.
Execute comprehensive testing strategies including
system, regression, integration, smoke, and end-to-end testing
.
Collaborate with developers to analyze failures and determine root cause.
Automate complex test scenarios that replicate
real-world workloads
and
distributed system behavior
.
Continuously improve test coverage and maintain robust automation frameworks.
Perform REST API testing and backend validation using tools like
Postman
.
Track and manage defects using tools like
JIRA
or
ServiceNow
, and follow through until resolution.
Participate actively in
Agile ceremonies
and contribute to continuous integration/testing processes via tools like
Jenkins
,
Git
, and
Maven
.

Must-Have Qualifications:

BE/BTech/BCA/MCA/ME/MTech or equivalent in Computer Science or related field.
46 years of professional experience in
software QA, system testing
, or automation.
Hands-on experience in
test automation
using any of the following:
Python, Java, Perl, C/C++
(Python preferred).
Strong in
manual testing
, writing test cases, debugging, and root cause analysis.
Good understanding of
Linux/Windows operating systems
.
Exposure to
file system concepts
and
network protocols
.

Good to Have (Plus):

Experience testing in
virtualized environments
(e.g., VMware, Docker, Kubernetes).
Familiarity with
distributed systems architecture
and debugging multi-node setups.
Exposure to cloud platforms or infrastructure testing (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Basic scripting for setup and environment automation (Shell, Bash, Python).
