Job Overview Role : (embedded systems in the aerospace domain) Location : Bangalore, India Reports to : Engineering Director Power and Data Systems Environment : Fast-paced, collaborative engineering team Primary Focus : Develop and test embedded software for aerospace systems following strict standards (DO-178C) What You’ll Be Doing You’ll contribute to the entire software development lifecycle for aerospace projects, specifically: Requirements & Interface Definition Work with hardware/system architects to understand what the software needs to do. Help define how software and hardware will communicate (HW-SW interface). Document & Code Review Review source code and design documents to make sure they meet aerospace standards. Ensure requirements are correctly traced from system-level all the way to tests. Testing Write and execute test cases to ensure the software works correctly. Perform both black-box (external behavior) and white-box (internal logic) testing. Debug issues and log them using bug-tracking tools (like Mantis). Configuration & Traceability Maintain traceability of requirements using tools like DOORS . Manage versions and configurations using tools like PVCS . Certification Support Help create certification documents that prove the software meets safety and quality standards. Must-Have Skills Degree in Electronics or Computer Science 4–6 years of experience in aerospace embedded software Strong in DO-178C (a key aerospace software standard) Experience in: Writing and executing tests (high-level, integration) Debugging using analyzers (oscilloscope, logic analyzer) Tools like DOORS (requirements), PVCS (config), Mantis (bugs) Great communication skills (written + oral) Nice-to-Have (Preferred) Skills Experience with C programming Worked with development tools like IAR , Code Composer Studio (CCS) Familiar with structural coverage tools (e.g., RTRT, HCL DevOps) Worked with ARM, Microchip, STMicro, or TI processors Written drivers for interfaces like SPI , UART , ADC , etc. Been through a full aerospace project lifecycle Experience working in a lean/agile environment
