Job Description

Role Overview: As a member of the Design and Engineering team at DESRI India Private Limited, based in Hyderabad, India, you will play a crucial role in supporting DESRI's portfolio of wind, solar, and storage projects. You will work closely with teams in the U.S. and Hyderabad, as well as external parties, in a collaborative and dynamic environment that values attention to detail and thoughtful problem-solving. Key Responsibilities: - Work on detailed PV plant designing for utility-scale projects, focusing on production optimization and analytics - Handle tasks such as DC/MV/HV cable schedules, DC cable sizing, MV/HV cable sizing, voltage and power drop calculations, reactive power calculation, and capacitor bank calculations - Provide suggestions to optimize production through layout studies and simulate energy yield using tools like PVSyst - Analyze the impact of weather parameters, topo, shading, and other constraints on energy production estimation Qualifications: - Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech) in electrical engineering or Master of Technology (M. Tech) in Renewable/Solar Energy/Power Systems - Up to six years of experience in utility-scale solar plant designing and energy estimation - Proficiency in PVSyst or similar software, Python, and advanced MS Excel - Sound knowledge of AC/DC electrical power systems - Strong communication skills for presenting conclusions and data visualizations - Proficiency in SQL, data analytics, and data visualization tools like Power BI - Excellent understanding of solar weather data analysis, knowledge in IEC and NEC codes and standards, experience in commissioning solar plants, and field experience,
