Position Overview

Purchase & SCM professional

Key Responsibilities

Source and procure raw materials, battery components, and services at optimal cost and quality.
Identify, evaluate, and develop vendors (domestic & international).
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms with suppliers.
Manage import procurement and ensure compliance with GST, Customs, and statutory regulations.
Coordinate with production, stores, finance, and R&D for material requirements.
Track inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment to avoid stockouts.
Oversee inbound and outbound logistics, optimize transport costs, and reduce lead times.
Prepare MIS reports on procurement, vendor performance, and cost savings.
Support ERP/Zoho Inventory systems for purchase and supply chain tracking.

Qualifications & Skills

Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Mechanical/Electrical/Production Engineering, or Commerce.
MBA in Supply Chain / Operations (preferred).
5+ years of experience
in Purchase & SCM, preferably in manufacturing, automotive, or battery industry.
Strong knowledge of procurement, logistics, and vendor management.
Good understanding of import/export processes and compliance.
Proficiency in ERP/Inventory systems (Zoho / SAP / Oracle).
Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
