Job Description

You will be working as a Purchase/Procurement Executive in the Administration (Purchase) department located at the Head Office in Andheri W, Mumbai. As a Purchase/Procurement Executive with 1 to 6 years of experience in the Construction/Heavy Civil Infrastructure industry, your primary responsibilities will include managing the Procurement Cycle Time, Cost Savings, Spend Control, Supplier Management and Relationships, Inventory Management, Process Improvement and Innovation, Data Analysis, and Reporting. Your role will involve evaluating vendors, comparing quotes, negotiating, and processing orders on time. You will also be responsible for maintaining vendor relations and assisting in the smooth functioning of the purchase department. Some of your key duties will include: - Supplier Management and Vendor Negotiation: Identifying, evaluating, and qualifying potential suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability criteria. You will also prepare a Comparative statement for core material/major items and maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers while developing new vendor partnerships. - Purchase Order Management and Processing: Creating, reviewing, and processing purchase orders accurately and efficiently. Coordinating delivery schedules with suppliers, tracking order status, and maintaining accurate procurement documentation and records for audit purposes. - Inventory Inspection and Reordering: Ensuring stock availability, confirming necessity with quantity from respective departments, and reordering supplies as necessary based on surplus availability on other sites. - Supplier Relationship Management: Providing solutions to supplier queries, attending their calls/emails promptly, and meeting suppliers to discuss fulfilling requirements on our terms and conditions. - Cross-Functional Collaboration and Communication: Working closely with engineering teams to understand requirements, coordinating with stores to ensure materials are received as per purchase orders, and facilitating communication between suppliers and internal teams. - Reporting and Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of purchases, supplier information, and preparing reports on procurement status and budget. To excel in this role, you should have excellent verbal and communication skills, proven negotiation skills, strong time management abilities, analytical and problem-solving skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office and MS-Teams. A Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or BE Mechanical is preferred, else any graduate with relevant experience can apply. This is a full-time, permanent position with a day shift schedule.
