Job Purpose:

To support pharmacy procurement and operations by ensuring timely availability, safe storage, accurate dispensing of drugs and consumables, and maintaining proper inventory controls in compliance with hospital policies.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Ensure accurate dispensing of drugs and consumables to patients as per prescription and hospital protocols.
2. Maintain safe storage conditions for drugs and consumables to preserve potency and shelf life.
3. Assist the Pharmacy In-Charge in raising indents and ordering pharmacy items from the central pharmacy
4. Provide patient counselling regarding usage, dosage, storage, and precautions of dispensed medicines.
5. Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, hospital policies, and quality standards.
6. Support audit requirements and inventory reconciliation processes.
7. Be willing to work in all shifts, including night shifts, as per operational requirements.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (D.Pharm / B.Pharm) or relevant qualification.
• Basic knowledge of pharmacy inventory management and procurement processes.
• Understanding of drug storage conditions and expiry management.
• Good communication skills for patient counselling.
• Attention to detail and ability to minimize medication errors.
• Willingness to work in rotational shifts, including nights.

Experience:

• 1–3 years of experience in hospital pharmacy, procurement, or inventory management preferred.
