Job Description


About the Role:

Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on cost analysis supplier performance and future purchasing plans

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective purchasing strategies to ensure a continuous supply of raw materials and components needed for production.
  • Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best possible terms for cost, quality, and delivery timelines.
  • Monitor and control purchasing budgets, ensuring that procurement activities align with the companys financial objectives.
  • Oversee stock levels and collaborate with production and warehouse teams to maintain optimal inventory levels without causing production delays or overstocking.
  • Draft and manage contracts with suppliers, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Work closely with the quality control department to ensure that all purchased materials meet required standards and specifications.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key suppliers to ensure ongoing collaboration and efficient supply chain operations.
  • Stay updated on market trends, pricing fluctuations, and emerging suppliers to make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to supply chain disruptions, price volatility, or supplier performance.
  • Lead and mentor the purchasing team, ensuring they are delivering results in a timely manner

- They will liaise with engineering, quality control, supplier and do market research

- They will manage to get quality materials negotiate good rates with suppliers and ensure prompt delivery of raw materials for production

- They will be accountable for:

  • Cost control, Build good relationship with vendors and good quality

Requirements:

  • B.E / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
  • B.E Experience Minimum 3 to 4 years
  • Diploma experience more than 5 years
  • Strong negotiation skills and proven experience in supplier management.
  • In-depth knowledge of procurement processes, supply chain management, and inventory control.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Should have strong leadership skills, deep understanding of supply change management and ability to build relationship with vendors
  • He should be able to understand all the specifications and coding in technical procurement.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in using ERP systems and procurement software.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Experience in international sourcing and dealing with global suppliers.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and Just-In-Time (JIT) procurement strategies.
