Position:

Role Overview:

The Purchase Manager will be responsible for managing procurement activities for the cloud kitchen, ensuring timely availability of raw materials, packaging, kitchen equipment, and other supplies at optimum cost without compromising on quality. The role requires strong vendor management, negotiation skills, cost control, and adherence to food safety & compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business requirements.
  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable vendors/suppliers for raw materials, packaging, kitchen equipment, and other operational needs.
  • Negotiate prices, contracts, and credit terms to optimize cost efficiency.
  • Ensure timely procurement of ingredients and supplies to avoid any disruption in kitchen operations.
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels and coordinate with the kitchen & operations team for demand forecasting.
  • Conduct quality checks on incoming materials to ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure consistent supply and favorable terms.
  • Monitor market trends, price fluctuations, and new product availability to optimize purchasing decisions.
  • Prepare and analyze procurement reports, purchase orders, and vendor performance reports.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, statutory requirements, and food industry compliance regulations.
  • Work closely with finance for budget planning, payments, and cost control.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Knowledge of raw material sourcing, food ingredients, packaging, and kitchen essentials.
  • Familiarity with food safety, hygiene, and compliance standards.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP, or inventory management software.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 3-4 years of procurement experience, preferably in the food & beverage, hospitality, or cloud kitchen industry.
