Purchase Manager - Pharma

As a Purchase Manager/Sr. Executive at PSA Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd., located in Vashi, Navi Mumbai, your primary responsibility will be to oversee day-to-day purchase activities within the pharmaceutical industry. You should possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement within a Pharma industry setting. Your role will involve handling procurement of pharmaceutical raw materials, packaging materials, and managing inventory for both inventory and non-inventory items. Additionally, you will be expected to develop vendor relationships to ensure the procurement of quality goods. A strong command of negotiation skills and proficiency in computer skills are essential for this position. It will be crucial for you to have a deep understanding of the procurement process and stay updated on the best practices within the pharmaceutical industry. You will be responsible for ensuring cost-effective and timely procurement of capital goods related to pharmaceutical APIs and packaging materials. Your duties will include purchase planning and control to align with production planning, identifying and developing new vendors, sending enquiries and expediting quotations from vendors, coordinating with the plant for material requirements and delivery, executing orders, and maintaining proper documentation and record-keeping of purchase orders and related documents. Furthermore, you will be required to follow up with suppliers on various matters such as purchase order receipt, dispatch, invoices, and dispatch details post-shipment. The ability to work independently and efficiently manage purchase activities will be essential for this role.
