Job Description

As a Procurement Engineer, you will play a crucial role in executing sourcing, purchasing, negotiating, and vendor coordination for technical products and services. Your primary responsibility will be to work closely with the engineering and project management teams to ensure timely procurement of materials and equipment that meet quality and budgetary requirements. Key Responsibilities: - Analyze technical requirements in collaboration with engineering teams to identify procurement needs. - Source and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery timelines. - Prepare and issue RFQs (Request for Quotation), compare bids, and actively participate in vendor selection. - Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and legal regulations throughout the procurement process. - Monitor and manage vendor performance while fostering long-term supplier relationships. - Coordinate effectively with logistics and warehouse teams to guarantee timely delivery and storage of goods. - Track procurement status, maintain necessary documentation, and generate regular procurement reports. - Contribute to cost reduction initiatives and supply chain optimization efforts. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical), Supply Chain, or a related field. - Minimum of 1 year of experience in procurement, preferably in a technical, engineering, or solar environment. - Strong understanding of engineering specifications and supply chain principles. - Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills. - Proficiency in reading technical drawings and specifications. - Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word is essential, while experience with Google Sheets and Docs is preferred. In addition to the specified qualifications, the company utilizes internally designed systems to manage purchase requirements efficiently.
