Public Relations Specialist - Sports

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic professional with 3-4 years of solid experience in Sports PR who is well-versed in the nuances of sports communication, media outreach, and client management. Above all, we need someone who is passionate about using innovative, creative approaches to elevate sports narratives.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and execute comprehensive public relations strategies and campaigns to achieve client objectives

- Provide daily client servicing, including responding to queries, contacting and following up with journalists, and liaising with clients

- Build and maintain strong relationships with media contacts to secure coverage and thought leadership opportunities

- Research and write high-quality content, including press releases, media alerts, and thought leadership pieces

- Source and capitalize on relevant media opportunities to drive client visibility and credibility

- Track and report on media coverage, analysing results and providing recommendations for future campaigns

- Schedule interviews and manage logistics for media appearances

- Plan and execute PR campaigns, including budgeting, timeline management, and team collaboration

Requirements:

- 2-3 years of experience in Sports PR/communications.

- Solid knowledge of the sports industry (local & global).

- Strong media network and proven coverage record.

- Excellent writing, communication, and storytelling skills.

- Ability to handle pressure, juggle multiple projects, and think creatively.

- Self-motivated with a genuine passion for sports.
