PTC Creo Design Engineer

As a Cable Tray Design Engineer, your role involves designing and developing cable trays, cable ladders, mesh trays, and related support systems using PTC Creo. You will be responsible for preparing 3D models, assemblies, and detailed drawings for fabrication and installation. Ensuring that your designs comply with industry standards such as NEMA, IEC, and IS, as well as project specifications, will be a crucial part of your job. Additionally, you will work on material selection, thickness optimization, load capacity, and the structural integrity of tray systems. Collaborating with electrical, structural, and project engineering teams to align cable management designs with overall layouts will also be a key aspect of your role. Key Responsibilities: - Design and develop cable trays, cable ladders, mesh trays, and related support systems using PTC Creo. - Prepare 3D models, assemblies, and detailed drawings for fabrication and installation. - Ensure designs comply with industry standards (NEMA, IEC, IS, etc.) and project specifications. - Work on material selection, thickness optimization, load capacity, and structural integrity of tray systems. - Collaborate with electrical, structural, and project engineering teams to align cable management designs with overall layouts. - Develop BOMs (Bill of Materials), GA drawings, and installation drawings. - Have strong hands-on experience in PTC Creo (Part, Assembly, Sheet Metal, and Drafting modules). - Possess knowledge of cable tray types (perforated, ladder, wire mesh, trunking, GI, SS, Aluminum) and support accessories. - Be familiar with cable routing, load calculations, and tray sizing. - Understand fabrication processes such as sheet metal cutting, bending, welding, galvanizing, and powder coating. Qualifications Required: - Minimum 3 years of experience in using Creo. - Proficiency in PTC Creo software is required for this role.
