You will be responsible for the position of Technical Design Executive at our organization. As a Bill of Material Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to prepare and review bill of materials for proposals and projects. You will review the contents and norms mentioned in the proposal/project documents and carry out drafting activities and design calculations in collaboration with the Principal Designer/Concerned Engineer. You will also be responsible for allocating and distributing drafting work to junior designers, preparing and reviewing substation equipment layouts, and overall plant cable routing layouts. Collecting input from all stakeholders and preparing technical design requirements (TDR) will be part of your regular tasks. Your role will involve envisaging proper cable trench and routing layouts, ensuring necessary clearances with other discipline routings, and making proper selections of cable types, sizes, and accessories for safe and hazardous zones. Additionally, you will be designing cable trench/tray loading details considering future expansion and permissible tolerances specified in project/client specifications. Collaboration with civil disciplines for cable tray support insert plates, floor cutouts, road crossing duct banks, and lighting pole foundations will be essential. You will ensure conformity of designs and layouts with client/company specifications, design basis, and scope of work while reviewing layouts from a construction perspective.
