Role Summary

We are seeking a passionate and empathetic Counsellor to join our multidisciplinary team. The Counsellor will provide continuous psycho-social support to clients, conduct structured individual and family sessions, facilitate therapeutic group activities, and serve as a vital link between clients, their families, and the care team.

Key Responsibilities

Client Admission, Orientation & Onboarding

• Support client admission and provide orientation and campus tour
• Coordinate with departments for smooth admission and discharge processes

Client Engagement & Monitoring

• Conduct weekly object-oriented individual counselling sessions
• Maintain weekly behavioural and emotional observation reports
• Provide morning and evening updates to families via WhatsApp groups
• Offer immediate support during emotional distress

Therapeutic Group Activities

• Facilitate or support activities like JFT, FFT, Psychoeducation, Sound Healing, Movement Therapy, Art Therapy, Zumba, and Alchemy
• Coordinate Saturday special activities for client engagement

Doctor Consultation & Coordination

• Coordinate with medical professionals for consultations
• Collect family concerns and communicate them during doctor reviews
• Verify medication and assist with external consultations or outings

Family Engagement & Communication

• Facilitate family therapy sessions in coordination with senior team members
• Send monthly progress updates to families
• Maintain professional communication at all times

Support & Documentation

• Manage purchase orders for client-related needs
• Monitor client device usage if applicable
• Maintain documentation including session notes, reports, and case presentations

Requirements

• Qualification: M.S.W. (Medical & Psychiatry)
• Strong communication and counselling skills
• Empathetic, patient, and culturally sensitive approach
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment
• Willingness to work flexible hours if required
