A PRT (Primary Teacher) is responsible for foundational learning in primary classes, focusing on core subjects and early childhood education. Their duties include planning and delivering lessons, assessing student progress, fostering a positive learning environment, and communicating with parents. They also manage classroom behavior, create learning resources, and participate in school activities. Key Responsibilities:

• Curriculum Delivery:Develop and implement lesson plans for core subjects like literacy, numeracy, science, social studies, and creative arts.
• Assessment and Feedback:Assess student learning through various methods like tests, quizzes, and assignments, providing constructive feedback to students and parents.
• Classroom Management:Create a positive and engaging learning environment, manage classroom behavior, and ensure a safe and healthy environment for all students.
• Communication:Maintain regular communication with parents regarding student progress, behavior, and any concerns.
• Resource Management:Prepare and organize teaching materials, maintain records of student attendance and performance, and ensure the classroom is well-equipped.
• Collaboration:Collaborate with other teachers, staff, and specialists to enhance the learning experience for students and participate in school meetings and professional development.
• Extracurricular Activities:May participate in or lead after-school clubs, sports events, and other extracurricular activities.
• Safety and Wellbeing:Ensure the safety and well-being of students, including following safeguarding procedures.
• Professional Development:Participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills and stay updated on educational best practices.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree: A Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field is typically required.
• Teaching Certification: Relevant teaching certifications or licenses are usually necessary.
• Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are crucial for interacting with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Classroom Management Skills: The ability to manage classroom behavior and create a positive learning environment is essential.
