Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Proposal Writer to support our business development efforts in the government sector. This role requires strong writing abilities, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of industry-specific requirements. The ideal candidate will be responsible for researching, developing, and refining high-quality proposals that effectively communicate the value of our solutions to potential clients.

Key Responsibilities

Research & Analysis

  • Conduct research to gather insights on potential government clients, their needs, and competitive dynamics.
  • Analyze request for proposals (RFPs), requests for information (RFIs), and bid documents to determine client requirements.

Proposal Development

  • Write clear, concise, and compelling proposals that highlight the organizations strengths and address client needs.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, sales teams, and stakeholders to compile relevant information.
  • Develop and maintain a repository of proposal content, including case studies and boilerplate materials.

Editing & Proofreading

  • Ensure proposals meet high standards of accuracy, consistency, and adherence to style guidelines.
  • Work closely with team members to align proposals with brand messaging and organizational objectives.

Coordination & Communication

  • Manage proposal timelines to ensure timely submission.
  • Liaise with internal technical and non-technical teams to gather necessary information.

Quality Assurance

  • Perform detailed quality checks to ensure compliance with client specifications and error-free submissions.
  • Incorporate feedback from senior proposal writers or department heads to improve future submissions.

Qualifications & Skills

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Business, or a related field.

Core Competencies

  • Exceptional writing skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts in a clear and engaging manner.
  • Strong command of grammar, punctuation, and proofreading techniques.
  • Excellent research and analytical abilities to support proposal development.
  • Effective collaboration and teamwork skills for cross-functional engagement.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality content.
  • Adaptability in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Technical Proficiency

  • Experience with proposal management tools (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
