As an Art Specialist at Fennies Nurseries, you will play a crucial role in planning and delivering art sessions for children aged 2-5 years old across 11 sites in Surrey and Berkshire. Your focus will be on the process over product, ensuring that children have enriching experiences that support their development across 7 key areas of learning. Responsibilities: - Plan and deliver engaging art sessions for young children, fostering their creativity and exploration. - Monitor and assess children's progress, making adjustments to the program as needed to meet their learning needs. - Supervise children according to established policies and procedures, ensuring their safety and well-being. - Lead and upskill staff in the realms of art and creativity, serving as a role model for best practices. - Act as the primary contact for parents regarding the art program, addressing any queries or concerns. - Promote the art program through various channels, including monthly newsletters and company events. - Ensure that art activities are age-appropriate and tailored to individual abilities, creating a stimulating environment for learning. Qualifications: - While a formal teaching qualification is not mandatory, prior experience working with children under 5 years old is essential. - Effective communication skills with children, colleagues, and parents, coupled with exceptional attention to detail. - Passion for art and the ability to introduce children to diverse artists, techniques, and materials. - Organized, with a strong work ethic and a commitment to professionalism. - Adaptable to changing priorities and workflows, capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
