The Combustion and Advanced Diagnostics Research Laboratory (CRADL), at the Department of Aerospace Engineering, IISc Bangalore has multiple positions for Project/Research Associate in the field of experimental combustion research.
The research involves experimental investigation of flame dynamics and stability. The candidate will be expected to work with high pressure combustion test systems. Experience in high speed imaging, Schlieren and laser-based optical diagnostic techniques will be desirable.
Qualifications required:
BE/BTech/MTech in Aerospace Engineering/Mechanical Engineering/Chemical Engineering with a minimum GPA of 8.0.
A strong background and training in fluid dynamics, compressible flows, mechanical design, and heat transfer. Proven accomplishment in handling thermo-fluidic experiments, and laser-based diagnostics.
Qualifications desired:
Design and proficiency with CAD
Design and handling of high-pressure thermo-fluidic experiments, and instrumentation
Programming skills in Matlab/Python, LabView
Excellent verbal and written communication skills demonstrated through international conferences and journal publications
The ability to work in a team environment
