Job Description

Role and Responsibility:

Planned and executed canal modernization works, including structural rehabilitation, cement concrete lining, and hydraulic structure improvements, weirs, across ecologically and archaeologically sensitive areas.
Ensured strict compliance with guidelines issued by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), Forest and Wildlife Departments, and the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF&CC).
Coordinated with multiple stakeholders including KNNL, local authorities, ASI, forest officials, and wildlife conservation bodies to obtain necessary clearances and maintain seamless project execution.
Supervised preparation and strengthening of canal beds, slopes, and embankments using environmentally responsible construction techniques and materials.
Managed deployment and operation of machinery and manpower with a focus on minimizing disturbance to wildlife habitats and cultural monuments.
Implemented quality assurance plans, performed on-site quality inspections, and ensured compliance with IS codes and contractual specifications.
Maintained daily site logs, QA/QC records, monthly progress reports, and photographic documentation for departmental review and milestone billing.
Monitored project costs, tracked quantities, prepared interim payment certificates, and resolved contractor issues in line with contractual obligations.
Oversaw site safety, construction waste management, and restoration of affected areas to preserve the historical and natural character of the location.
Delivered project components within the defined timeline and budget while upholding the highest standards of engineering, environmental protection, and heritage conservation.
