Project Manager

Role & responsibilities

Responsible for overall planning, execution, monitoring, and completion of the National Highway project as per specifications, budget, and schedule. Ensure compliance with MORTH / NHAI standards, safety regulations, and contractual obligations.

Project Planning & Execution

• Plan, organize, and manage all phases of highway construction projects.
  
• Develop project schedules, work breakdown structures, and resource plans.
  
• Ensure adherence to contract conditions, technical specifications, and drawings.
  
• Coordinate with design consultants, client representatives (NHAI / MORTH), and subcontractors.
  
• Monitor daily progress and ensure timely completion of milestones.
  

Financial & Resource Management

• Prepare and monitor project budgets and cost control systems.
  
• Approve material requisitions and equipment deployment plans.
  
• Review subcontractor bills, vendor payments, and ensure cost efficiency.
  

Quality & Safety

• Ensure that construction works comply with QA/QC procedures as per MORTH/NHAI specifications.
  
• Implement and monitor Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) standards at site.
  
• Conduct site audits and corrective action plans for non-conformities.
  

Coordination & Communication

• Liaise with NHAI / Client / Independent Engineer for approvals, inspections, and progress reviews.
  
• Lead regular progress meetings with project staff and subcontractors.
  
• Prepare and submit progress reports, project documentation, and MIS updates.
  

Team Leadership

• Supervise, mentor, and guide site engineers and other project staff.
  
• Assign clear roles and responsibilities within the project team.
  
• Motivate the workforce to achieve targets and maintain morale.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

• Educational Qualification:

  B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering (M.E. / M.Tech preferred).

• Experience:

• total experience in

  highway / road construction projects

  .
• Minimum 20

  years in a Project Manager

  .
• Must have handled

  EPC / HAM / BOT

  model projects under

  NHAI or MORTH

  .
• Strong exposure to

  asphalt / concrete pavement works

  , structures, Earthwork and embankment & utility shifting.

• Technical Knowledge:

• In-depth understanding of

  IRC & MORTH specifications

  , quality standards, and project documentation.
• Proficiency in

  MS Project / Primavera / Excel

  , DPR preparation, and progress tracking.
• Knowledge of

  contract management, billing, and coordination

  with consultants and clients.

• Soft Skills:

• Excellent

  leadership and decision-making

  skills.
• Strong

  communication and client-handling

  abilities.
• Problem-solving attitude with focus on

  timely delivery and cost efficiency

• Ability to lead and motivate large site teams and subcontractors.
  

• Other Requirements:

• Willingness to

  relocate to project site

  anywhere in India.
• Must have a

  valid driving license

  and ability to travel frequently between site locations.
• Preference for candidates with

  NHAI or reputed infrastructure company

  experience.

  Telangana and Andhra Pradesh

  (Telugu-speaking candidates preferred).
