Job Description

As a Project Manager for High Voltage (HV) and Extra High Voltage (EHV) Substation projects, your role will involve leading and managing the execution of projects from initiation to completion. This includes planning, design coordination, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, and handover while ensuring adherence to contractual obligations, project schedule, quality standards, and HSE requirements. Your key responsibilities will include: - Managing the full project lifecycle of HV/EHV substation projects (132kV, 220kV, 380kV) - Leading project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation - Coordinating with engineering, procurement, and construction teams for seamless project delivery - Overseeing subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants to ensure contractual compliance - Ensuring project delivery aligns with SEC/utility authority standards and client specifications - Monitoring project performance (scope, cost, schedule, and quality) and implementing corrective actions when necessary - Ensuring compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards in all project activities - Conducting regular progress meetings with stakeholders and preparing detailed progress reports - Reviewing and approving technical submittals, drawings, and project documentation - Managing risks, claims, and variation orders in alignment with the contract - Supervising pre-commissioning, commissioning, and final handover activities - Ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining strong relationships with clients and consultants Qualifications & Experience required for this role: - Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering - Minimum 12-15 years of experience in EPC projects, with at least 7 years in HV/EHV substation projects - Proven track record as a Project Manager in 132kV to 380kV substation projects - Strong knowledge of power systems, protection & control, GIS substations, transformers, switchgear, and associated equipment - Demonstrated ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams and subcontractors - Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills - Proficient in MS Project / Primavera (P6) and project management tools - PMP certification is an advantage In addition to the above, key competencies expected for this role include: - Leadership & People Management - Strategic Planning & Decision Making - Technical & Engineering Expertise in HV/EHV Substations - Contract & Risk Management - Budgeting & Cost Control - Communication & Stakeholder Management - Problem Solving & Analytical Skills - Commitment to Quality and HSE,
