Project Manager for Research Project on Reducing Plastic Bottle Usage

The Project Manager position at ATREE involves leading and coordinating a research project focused on promoting the adoption of filtered water over bottled water in Bangalore. The interdisciplinary project aims to understand consumer and business behaviors related to water consumption and leverage digital solutions to reduce plastic bottle usage. As the Project Manager, your responsibilities will include coordinating project activities in North Bangalore, managing a team of field staff, designing questionnaires, overseeing prototype development, analyzing data, and preparing progress reports. You will also serve as the primary point of contact between field staff, stakeholders, and project leads. To qualify for this role, you should hold a Ph.D. in Social Sciences, Environmental Studies, Public Health, Urban Studies, or related fields. Experience in managing interdisciplinary research projects, survey design, fieldwork, and data analysis is essential. Familiarity with Bangalore's socio-economic and environmental landscape is preferred. Fluency in English, Hindi, and Kannada is required. Key skills for this position include organizational and team management abilities, strong communication skills, and proficiency in statistical analysis tools such as SPSS, R, or Stata. A problem-solving mindset and adaptability to dynamic field conditions are also crucial. The monthly compensation for this role is 65,000.
