Role Overview: As a Project Leader at BCN Labs, you will be a key player in delivering cutting-edge analytical solutions by utilizing your data engineering expertise and analytical problem-solving skills. Your role will involve working on robust data platform engineering, software development, and client-oriented delivery, requiring a combination of hands-on implementation capabilities and strategic thinking to address real-world business challenges. You will collaborate with analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to frame problems, validate solutions, and lead teams in client delivery. Key Responsibilities: - Architect and Deliver Scalable Data Pipelines: Build, optimize, and maintain batch and streaming pipelines using modern data engineering tools and frameworks such as PySpark, Airflow, Snowflake, etc. - End-to-End Project Leadership: Own the full delivery cycle from data ingestion and transformation to application deployment and monitoring in the cloud. - Analytical Framing: Collaborate with project teams to understand business needs and help shape technically sound solutions measurable in terms of business value. - Mentorship and Team Leadership: Lead a team of engineers and analysts, providing technical guidance, code reviews, and project oversight to ensure quality and impact. Assist in developing individuals with full-stack capabilities at BCN Labs. - Hands-on Development: Write and review clean, modular, production-ready code, ensuring scalability, reusability, and maintainability of solutions. - Client & Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate complex technical concepts and insights clearly and persuasively to non-technical audiences internally and externally. - Data Infrastructure Innovation: Contribute to internal tooling, frameworks, and automation efforts to enhance the Labs" data engineering capabilities. - Collaborate on Analytical Solutions: Work with data scientists to enable high-performance, well-governed data environments and workflows. Qualifications Required: - Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. - 5+ years (Masters + 3+ years) of proven experience in data engineering, software development, and building scalable data pipelines in a production environment. - Demonstrated expertise in driving end-to-end analytical solution delivery from data ingestion and transformation to cloud deployment and performance optimization. - Comfortable fitting into a team-oriented structure with a college/hostel-style way of working, enabling better client support. - Core Technical Skills: Expertise in Python, strong SQL skills, proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, experience with RESTful APIs, microservices architecture. - Frameworks & Platforms: Hands-on experience with Python-based frameworks like FastAPI, Django, Streamlit, modern JavaScript frameworks, Docker, Git, CI/CD pipelines, AWS or Azure deployment, preference for experience in Apache Airflow, PySpark, Snowflake, knowledge of container orchestration (Kubernetes is a plus).
