The Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center (INOPC) is a competence center with around 2600+ skilled engineers who focus on tendering, engineering, planning, procurement, project Management, functional system testing, installation supervision, documentation and commissioning.
How You'll Make An Impact
- Leadership and Team Management: Lead and mentor group of engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure project success.
- Project Execution: Oversee the design, implementation, and testing of electrical control and protection for high voltage switchgears like Live Tank Breakers or Dead Tank Breakers and or Gas Insulated Switchgear.
- Customer Interaction: Collaborate with customers to understand requirements, provide technical support, and ensure satisfaction to customers requirements.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all projects are met its quality standards and comply with industry regulations.
- Technical Expertise: Provide technical expertise in electrical engineering on control and protection schemes. Conversant with IEEE / IEC standards related Switchgears are added advantage.
- Documentation: Prepare and review technical documentation, including design specifications, Manufacturing drawings / documentation, test plans, and reports.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices across all products.
- Compliance: Ensure all work adheres to safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines

Your Background
- Bachelor's / master's degree in electrical engineering.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on control and protection schematics of substations / High Voltage Breakers: Proficiency in electrical schemes in control and protection or high voltage products like Live Tank Breakers / Dead Tank Breakers.
- Very Good knowledge of CAE tools (Nice to have experience in e3, not mandatory).
- Very Good knowledge of Protection & Control Systems for T & D / Gen.
- Familiarity with codes and applicable standards like IEC, IEEE, ANSI, etc...
- Ability to work with multiple discipline projects.
- Ability to work in a team and maintain professionalism.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
