Description
In this position as a PowerBuilder Project Lead, you will be leading a team of 3-5 developers responsible for developing and maintaining client/server systems using object-oriented features. Your role will involve providing full life-cycle software development (design, development, testing, and maintenance) for applications in an Object-Oriented Client Server Environment. You will also manage the support of PowerBuilder applications in the Retail industry, develop, deploy, and convert solutions of various technologies as requested, and provide technical support to resolve problems in a timely manner. Your responsibilities will include defining and translating end user requirements into application solutions, developing application software components, interacting with customers to address production issues, and delivering high-quality products and services. Key Responsibilities: - Manage a team of 3-5 developers in developing and maintaining client/server systems - Provide full life-cycle software development for applications in an Object-Oriented Client Server Environment - Manage the support of PowerBuilder applications in the Retail industry - Develop, deploy, and convert solutions of various technologies - Provide technical support and troubleshoot to resolve problems promptly - Define and translate end user requirements into application solutions - Develop application software components to meet current requirements - Interact with customers to address production issues - Deliver high-quality products and services in a timely manner Qualifications Required: - Minimum of 7 years of experience with PowerBuilder - Proficiency in PFC and PB 8.5 & above - 4-6 years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and above - Strong knowledge of Trigger, Store Procedure, and Performance Tuning - Full Life Cycle development experience - Strong object-oriented programming and design skills - Excellent communication skills both written and verbal - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with internal customers Additional Details: - Experience with .Net and Java is a big plus - Must be a self-driven team player and enjoy working closely with others - Ability to work independently and interact effectively with internal customers - Must have a proactive approach to providing and resolving issues In this position as a PowerBuilder Project Lead, you will be leading a team of 3-5 developers responsible for developing and maintaining client/server systems using object-oriented features.
