Project Engineering Head-Design

You are invited to apply for the position of Head Project Engineering for T&D, Railways, & Solar (Design & Detail Engineering) at Amara Raja Infra Private Limited (ARIPL) located in Hyderabad. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and overseeing projects from ideation to completion, contributing to business development, execution, cost savings, and internal competency development. As the Head of Engineering, you will play a key leadership role in managing the engineering department. Your responsibilities will include overseeing pre-bid and detailed engineering processes for various projects such as EHV&UHV substations, transmission lines, railways, and large MW solar projects. You will also be in charge of day-to-day activities, site development projects, staffing, resources, mentoring, and maintaining a top-notch engineering department. Your role will involve staying updated on cutting-edge technologies and industry best practices, participating in contract review meetings, preparing technical documentation, conducting site surveys, developing design plans, and ensuring timely customer approvals for designs. You will also be responsible for vendor coordination, equipment procurement, engineering clearances, and seamless project execution through effective coordination with internal and external stakeholders. To be successful in this role, you should have a minimum of 22-25 years of relevant experience in engineering, with a strong background in pre-bid and detailed engineering. You must possess hands-on experience with design software such as PVsyst, E-TAP, AutoCAD tools, and MS Office. Additionally, you should have excellent communication, team management, strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. If you have a track record of successful technology tie-ups, collaborations, and technical paper presentations in the T&D and solar sectors, it would be considered a plus. You should also be familiar with national and international codes and standards related to engineering activities.
