Project Engineer - Structural Steel Engineer

As part of the GIS Steel Structural Engineering team at Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center (INOPC), you will collaborate with project engineers and project lead engineers to create project-specific engineering documents and drawings for Steel Support Structures used in GIS equipment for transmission and sub-transmission systems above 66kV. Your role will involve preparing Tekla models, GA drawings, and Fabrication drawings, ensuring all necessary inputs are available from stakeholders. You will be responsible for developing project-specific Civil plans for customers, taking into account GIS loading for the design of customer building floors, ceiling cranes, and the influence of environmental conditions on GIS structure designs. Additionally, you will conduct self-reviews and peer reviews of documents, ensuring timely delivery of designs with quality while coordinating with team members and project lead engineers. Key responsibilities also include maintaining and updating documentation for respective projects according to quality processes. To be successful in this role, you should have 2-4 years of experience with a B.E. in Civil & Structural Engineering. Practical experience in Tekla, Navisworks, and other modeling software is essential. Familiarity with codes and standards such as American, European, and Canadian is mandatory. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are key, along with proficiency in tools like AUTOCAD and MS Office. Knowledge of Galvanization and painting procedures, as well as HSE standards like OSHA and DIN, is required. Familiarity with international standards like IEC, IEEE, and ANSI is preferable, along with knowledge of HV substations and products. Working knowledge of Staad.pro will be advantageous in this role.,
