Project Engineer - Structural Steel Engineer

Role Overview: You will be a part of the GIS Steel Structural Engineering team at Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center (INOPC), supporting project engineers in developing project-specific engineering documents and drawings for Steel Support Structures for GIS equipment. Your responsibilities will include preparing Tekla models, GA drawings, and Fabrication drawings, ensuring all necessary inputs are available from stakeholders, and delivering designs on time with quality. Key Responsibilities: - Support project engineers in developing project-specific engineering documents and drawings for Steel Support Structures - Preparation of Tekla model, GA drawings & Fabrication drawings for Steel Support Structures for Gas Insulated Switchgears above 66kV - Prepare project specific Civil plan for customer providing GIS loading for design of customer building floor, ceiling cranes, etc. - Self-review & peer review of documents - Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines - Maintain and update documentation for respective projects - Collaborate with other departments like Primary Engineering, Secondary Engineering, Project Management, and Production units Qualifications Required: - 2-4 years of experience with B.E in Civil & Structural Engineering - Hands-on experience in Tekla, Navisworks, and other modeling software - Familiarity with codes and applicable standards for Structural Modeling & Detailing (American, European, Canadian, etc.) - Team player with good communication and interpersonal skills - Knowledge of tools like AUTOCAD, MS Office, Galvanization & painting procedures - Knowledge of HSE standards like OSHA, DIN, and international standards such as IEC/ IEEE / ANSI is preferable - Knowledge of HV substation/HV products and working knowledge of Staad.pro is an added advantage Additional Company Details: Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity are emphasized, requiring you to take responsibility for your actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.
