Project (Mechanical) Engineer-Office

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Project Planning and Scheduling

    • Preparation and management of project bar charts.
    • Collaborate with design teams to provide inputs for drawing preparation.
  2. Client and Stakeholder Communication

    • Act as the primary point of contact for client communication.
    • Coordinate and finalize contracts with vendors and contractors.
  3. Procurement and Purchase

    • Preparation of Purchase Requisitions (PR), Purchase Orders (PO), and Letters of Intent (LOI).
    • Inquiry, finalization, and follow-up for Bill of Items (BOI) and bought-out materials.
  4. Material and Logistics Management

    • Monitor site material requirements, shortages, and dispatch planning.
    • Finalize logistics vehicles, raise PR, and coordinate transportation.
    • Maintain site material reports and ensure timely follow-up for material delivery.
  5. Engineering Design and Documentation

    • Prepare Electrical Load Lists, Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and Piping Bills of Materials (BOM).
    • Coordinate with consultants for structural and civil foundation requirements.
  6. Site Coordination and Reporting

    • Monitor and report on-site activities and material requirements.
    • Prepare and submit site activity reports.
  7. Billing and Payment Management

    • Prepare billing breakups and maintain balance material and billing updates.
    • Verify invoices, coordinate service entries for contractor bills, and follow up on payments.
    • Input billing details for logistics and accounts.
  8. System and Process Management

    • Work with internal systems such as SAP for project updates and tracking.
    • Prepare operational and maintenance manuals.
  9. Team Coordination and Meetings

    • Conduct and participate in review meetings.
    • Ensure internal follow-ups for equipment dispatch and other project-related deliverables.
  10. Customer Scope and Support

    • Plan and arrange customer scope vehicles as required.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Proficiency in project management tools and software, including SAP.
  • Strong communication and client-handling skills.
  • Expertise in technical documentation, such as P&IDs and BOMs.
  • Ability to manage procurement, contracts, and logistics.
  • Knowledge of distillery, evaporator, and process industry standards and requirements.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Chemical/Electrical) or equivalent.
  • Relevant certifications in project management or procurement are a plus.
  • Experience:

    Minimum 5-7 years of experience in commissioning of or similar equipment.
  • Position – 01

  • Note:

    This role requires candidates with prior experience in distillery or DDGS
  • Dryer, Spray Dryer, Mixer, Reactor commissioning projects, excellent technical expertise, and the ability to work in fast-paced project environments.
