The Group You ll Be A Part Of There is an opening for the role of Lead Project Engineer. This position is based out of Bangalore, directly reporting to the leader of WETS Engineering Excellence Team (WEET) of LIGHT. This individual shall collaborate with engineers in India and United States on new product development of WETS product lines. The Impact You ll Make As a Project Engineer at Lam, youre not merely managing projects - youre driving advancements integral to the design and development of Lams products. Leading cross-functional teams, youll steer the execution of engineering projects, leveraging your technical prowess and strategic insight to deliver enhanced products. Your focus on continuous improvement in the development lifecycle will be pivotal as you own project to optimize and enhance Lams offerings. What You ll Do Responsible for developing configurable options using the Product Option Architecture (POA) tool, ensuring accuracy of these options. Create and manage Bill of Materials (BOM) for product options Review and align BOM content with Cross Functional Teams (CFT) and product manager for all possible product options Coordinate with CFT to manage release process of product option changes Understand the engineering changes and create and submit the change orders Based on POA roadmap discussions analyze how product changes affect the existing content and drive the required engineering changes. Creation/redlines and maintenance of Visio document, BOM comparison, workflow, checklist document etc Who We re Looking For Bachelor s degree in mechanical / automotive / industrial / production engineering with a minimum of 8+ years of relevant experience Preferred Qualifications Experience of managing product options with more than 10000 components Create and manage Bill of material (BoM). Experience in use of MS Excel for BoM management Experience in writing and executing change orders with expected accuracy Working experience in engineering change order implementation strategies for product options Working experience in VISIO application Creating Macros/VBA scripting using MS-Excel Problem solving and decision-making proficiency Desirable Skills Experience with Team Center and PLM (SAP or e-Works or Oracle-aps etc..) Virtual Flex you ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
