Project Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Work as part of Project Engineering Team,
  
• Under the work instruction of the Project Manager or Project Engineering Manager, he/ she assists a part of the following project management or engineering management duties.
  
• Issue necessary instruction to personnel assigned to the project.
  
• Prepare project procedures and project control plans.
  
• Control cost, schedule and revenue status of the project according to the established plan.
  
• Monitor and assess the performance of project activities in his/her responsibility.  Propose corrective actions for any unsatisfactory situation and take action per the Project Manager's or Engineering Manager's instruction.
  
• Control HSE and Quality for his/her part of the project.
  
• Maintain communication and coordination among Client, Joint Venture partner, vendor, subcontractor and JGC internally according to the established procedures.
  
• Continuously monitor and assess the performance of his/her assigned scope from time to time.
  
• Initiate or inform superior of the need for corrective action promptly in all unsatisfactory situations.
  
• Accountable to the Project Manager or Project Engineering Manager.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from a recognized university or equivalent
  
• More than 5 years in EPC project engineering management or project management work experience for  various overseas plant projects (gas processing, LNG, petroleum refining, petrochemical, chemical, nuclear power, etc.)
  
• Experience in coordination work in English with overseas customers, subsidiaries, licensors, vendors, contractors, etc. 
  
• Negotiation and coordination with customers, vendors and sub-contractors
  
• Coordination with design and execution departments of internal and overseas subsidiaries
  
• Manage EPC execution elements such as costs, change claims and risks Management
  
• Operation and management of people, goods, money, and information
