Project Engineer- Fire Fighting & Fire Suppression, Bangalore

A Project Engineer for Fire Hydrants plays a crucial role in the planning, design, implementation, and maintenance of fire hydrant systems. Their responsibilities may vary depending on the specific project requirements, but here are some job responsibilities:

Role & responsibilities

1.Inspect, test, and repair systems such as smoke detectors, sprinklers, dry stand pipe systems, and pull systems

2. Assist in fire safety inspection

3. Rectification related to welding Work

4. Fire Extinguisher AMC, Inspection & Refilling

5. Hose Pipe crimping

6. Generating reporting on site & office

7. Conducting Moc Drill & Demonstration for New Client & UFT Projects.

8. Supporting Project work(Site Visit, Execution, Commissioning & Design input.)

9. Organize daily work functions through effective planning and time management.

10. Execution as per Schedule & confirmation with client (site in charge / PM).

11. Material and Service quality to be ensured and get it corrected immediately.

12. Tools, tackles handling, housekeeping, safety etc. to be maintained properly at site.

13. Inspection of the systems at site to Generating Form-B

14. Generating reports onsite

15. Conducting Moc Drill & Demonstration for New Client & UFT Projects.

16. Supporting Project work (Site Visit, Execution, Commissioning & Design input.)

17. Any other jobs assigned by the management.

18. Conducting fire risk analysis, code compliance assessments and conceptual fire safety designs.

19. Consulting on projects with respect to the Building & Fire Codes and related NFPA and FM Global standards.

20. Perform design calculations and ensuring plans are compliant with relevant codes and standards.

21. Have some experience in developing performance-based strategies and/or code alternatives, utilizing fire engineering.

22. Prepare a list of engineering deliverables and time-based functions to facilitate the planning.

23. Identify all fire hazards and select appropriate fire prevention systems.

24. Calculation of fire water demands.

25. Preparation of fire water layouts and networks.

26. Hydraulic calculation for the fire water systems / networks.

27. Adequacy check for the fire water protections methods provided.

28. Sound knowledge of the Hazop and Safety Studies and reports preparations.

Awareness with International codes and standards.

Sound technical knowledge of Fire Water P&IDs / Piping Materials

Preparation of datasheets for Hydrants / Monitors / Sprinklers and Spray Nozzles.

Requisition for Fire Hydrants / Sprinklers / Monitors and Special Items. development, line sizing, material selection, isolation requirements and valve selection

Prepare hazardous area classification.

Perform fire and gas location layout and philosophy.

Perform Consequence modeling and gas dispersion study.

Perform Hydraulic calculation Report.

Review of Vendor Drawings.

Strong leadership skills
