Education:

• Diploma/bachelors degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
• 4-5 years of experience in SPM or Automation relevant industry experience.

Preferred Experience:

• Prior experience in vendor sourcing, development relevant to SPMs is a must with international standards quality knowledge.

Soft Skills:

• Proficient in identifying electrical component, including those used in control panels and field electrification systems.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
• Familiarity with SAP, ERP systems and data analysis tools.
• Exposure to lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work under pressure.
• Exposure to read & interpret Engineering drawings, electrical schematics, cable schedules, and electrical drawings.

Job Summary:

The Project Engineer Electrical is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing electrical engineering tasks within projects, ensuring technical compliance, timely completion, and budget adherence. The role involves discussion with sales, design review, site supervision, vendor coordination, and close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Project planning

• Participate in sales handover meetings to understand project requirements, specifications, and timelines.
• Prepare Gantt charts for scheduling and planning projects
• Define long lead parts and establish timelines for engineering releases to meet dispatch and deadlines and assembly sequences.

Engineering and design coordination

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Design, Quality, Production, and Procurement to ensure smooth integration of vendors into new product development and existing production.
• Work closely with design team on engineering releases, focusing on long-lead and pre-release parts to assembly sequences.
• Communicate with cross-functional teams for ordering, ensuring ETA timelines.
• Coordinate with Stores team for stock allocation.

Manufacturing and Assembly

• Issue of job orders to assembly supervisors and material requisition notes. Monitor assembly hours, comparing actual Vs estimated hours with proper justifications for derivations.
• Ensure parts are available on time to avoid impacting assembly.
• Monitor assembly activities guide shop floor teams, and escalate issues to top management as needed.
• Ensure proper utilization of manpower, adherence to customer commitments , 5S activities and on-time dispatches.

Testing trials and Acceptance

• Verify completed assemblies with project coordinators, supervisors, and quality teams.
• Conduct trials, customer factory acceptance tests.
• . Share factory acceptance reports with the internal team and customers.

Packaging, Dispatch, and Logistics

• Plan and coordinate packing activity, including arranging skids/boxes and creating container plans for dispatch.
• Oversee logistics by sharing PO and shipment requests.
• Manage pending parts, return materials to stores, and close job orders in ERP.

Post-Dispatch and Customer Support

• Address site issues and coordinate with the technical service team for installation and required material dispatch
• Maintain a list of outstanding parts and follow up until delivered to customer

Reporting and continuous improvement

• Prepare MIS reports for management and involve in safety, kaizen, and 5S improvement activities
• Promote team collaboration, effective communication, and foster a culture of continuous improvement
