Project Engineer - Design

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical AutoCAD Engineer with hands-on experience in solar power park design and execution. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed mechanical drawings, layouts, and schematics using AutoCAD, supporting the design and implementation of solar energy systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and revise mechanical drawings for solar power plant components including mounting structures, piping, and HVAC systems.
• Prepare layout plans for solar panel arrays, inverter stations, and mechanical infrastructure.
• Collaborate with electrical and civil engineers to ensure integrated system design.
• Perform site surveys and translate field data into accurate CAD drawings.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety codes, and project specifications.
• Assist in BOM (Bill of Materials) preparation and technical documentation.
• Support project teams during installation and commissioning phases.
• Maintain drawing records and version control using project management tools.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D & 3D); knowledge of SolidWorks or Revit is a plus.
• Minimum 2-4 years of experience in mechanical drafting, preferably in solar power projects.
• Understanding of solar PV system components, mechanical load calculations, and structural design.
• Familiarity with IS codes, IEC standards, and renewable energy guidelines.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.

Preferred Experience:

• Worked on utility-scale solar parks (MW scale).
• Experience with ground-mounted solar structures, trackers, or rooftop systems.
• Exposure to project execution and coordination with EPC teams.
