Project Design Engineer (Solar)

A Solar Project Design Engineer is responsible for designing rooftop and ground-mounted solar power systems, preparing technical drawings, conducting site assessments, and ensuring that the project meets safety, quality, and performance standards.

Key Responsibilities1. System Design & Engineering

• Prepare complete solar PV system design (rooftop / ground-mounted).
• Use design tools like AutoCAD, SketchUp, PVsyst, Helioscope, and Excel.
• Create SLD (Single Line Diagram), Layout drawings, Shadow analysis, and String design.
• Calculate DC/AC capacity, inverter sizing, cable sizing, earthing & lightning protection design.
• Ensure system meets relevant standards (IEC, MNRE, DISCOM norms).

2. Site Survey & Assessment

• Conduct physical site surveys (rooftop/land).
• Assess structural strength, shading, orientation, cable routing, inverter placement.
• Measure site details using tools (measuring tape, laser meter, compass, drone—if needed).

3. Project Documentation

• Prepare BOM (Bill of Materials).
• Prepare technical proposals and project reports.
• Support with feasibility studies and DPR preparation.

4. Technical Support

• Coordinate with procurement, vendors, and clients for technical queries.
• Support project manager during installation and commissioning.
• Conduct quality checks based on design.

Experience : 3-4 years in same field

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
