Progress Database Administrator (DBA)

As an experienced Progress Database Administrator (DBA) at GlobalLogic, your role will involve designing, maintaining, and optimizing complex QAD database environments. You will be responsible for system performance monitoring, automation, and ensuring high availability across Cloud Ops environments in a 24/7 support setup. **Key Responsibilities:** - Monitor and optimize database/system performance to ensure uptime SLAs are met. - Perform root cause analysis for performance issues and implement preventive measures. - Automate routine DBA tasks and streamline processes for efficiency. - Create and maintain backup/recovery plans and execute data recovery when required. - Develop test plans and support deployments in coordination with change advisory teams. - Collaborate with customers and internal teams for system updates and issue resolution. - Share best practices and mentor peers across teams. - Participate in rotational on-call support for production environments. **Qualifications Required:** - 3-8 years of experience supporting QAD products, Progress databases, or related infrastructure. - Hands-on experience with Linux, Windows, Progress DB, and system performance tuning. - Exposure to SQL Server, MySQL, MariaDB, AWS RDS, Python, Bash scripting, MongoDB preferred. - Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. - Ability to handle high-pressure production environments and customer interactions confidently.
