Job Description

You will be joining Tenneco, a global leader in designing, manufacturing, and marketing automotive products for both original equipment and aftermarket customers. With over 78,000 team members across more than 300 sites worldwide, Tenneco is driving advancements in global mobility through its four business groups - DRiV, Ride Performance, Clean Air, and Powertrain. As a Program Purchasing Manager, your key responsibilities will include: - Conducting product feasibility assessments with vendors and internal Cross-Functional Teams (CFT). - Reviewing stamping parts processes and finalizing method plans. - Overseeing tooling layouts, process commonization, and ensuring Tooling Design Approval Process (DAP) before tooling kick-off. - Estimating tooling investments and preparing Zero-based costing submissions for Sales. - Negotiating tooling costs with vendors and optimizing investments. - Driving stamping process innovation to achieve the lowest manufacturing costs. - Monitoring tool life for all running models and implementing controls to avoid tooling breakdowns. - Assisting the Supplier Development team during Initial Customer Approval (ICA)/Production Customer Approval (PCA) related to quality complaints. - Leading Lean workshops at suppliers" sites. - Managing supplier relationships effectively. - Providing technical expertise to customers in resolving technical issues related to product supply and test facilities. In terms of skills and capabilities required, you should have: - A minimum of 12 to 15 years of experience in Stainless Steel Stamping tooling. - Proficiency in Stamping Simulation software. - Expertise in Stainless-Steel stamping processes, Pipe bending, and welding. - Knowledge of press tools, gauges, and fixture development. - Experience in Product and Tooling costing. - Understanding of tooling concept designing.
