The Opportunity
Join our mission to liberate educational institutions from expensive, restrictive software solutions. As our Program Manager Intern, you&aposll be at the forefront of coordinating cross-functional initiatives that will shape the future of educational technology for millions of students and educators worldwide.
What You&aposll DoStrategic Program Coordination
- Support the planning and execution of Benana&aposs MVP launch (January 2026)
- Coordinate between development, community, and business teams to ensure project milestones are met
- Track and report on key program metrics and deliverables
- Assist in managing the development roadmap and feature prioritization
Community Program Management
- Help grow and engage our 500+ educator waitlist
- Support Discord community management and engagement initiatives
- Coordinate with our template contributor network to expand our 50+ template library
- Assist in organizing virtual events, webinars, and community meetups
Process Optimization
- Document and improve cross-team workflows and processes
- Support the implementation of agile methodologies across different workstreams
- Help streamline communication channels between technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Contribute to project management tool optimization and team productivity
Go-to-Market Support
- Assist in coordinating marketing campaigns and product launches
- Support partnership development initiatives with educational institutions
- Help manage relationships with early adopters and beta testers
- Contribute to content strategy for developer and educator outreach
What We&aposre Looking ForEssential Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Computer Science, or related field
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Passion for education and/or open source technology
- Self-motivated with ability to work independently in a remote environment
Preferred Experience
- Previous internship or project experience in program/project management
- Familiarity with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
- Experience with project management tools (Jira, Asana, Notion, etc.)
- Understanding of open source development workflows
- Interest in EdTech or educational institutions
- Community management or engagement experience
Technical Comfort
- Basic understanding of software development lifecycles
- Comfort working with technical teams and understanding technical requirements
- Ability to learn and adapt to new tools quickly
- GitHub familiarity (preferred but not required)
