Professor of Radiology and Medical Imaging Technology

Job Responsibilities:

As an integral member of a dynamic teaching team in Pune, the Professor of Radiology and Medical Imaging Technology will be responsible for teaching the theoretical training component of the Radiology course and supervision of the practical training component in partner Hospitals.

Specific academic responsibilities include:

• Teach theory on subjects dealing with Anatomy & Physiology, Radiological Equipments, Radiographic Techniques, Essential Physics, Principles of Imaging, Hospital Ethics & Patient Care, Physics & Instrumentation of CT & MRI, and Technique of CT & MRI.
• Supervising Practical Training of students at partner Hospitals.
• Maintain Student Administrative records.
• Perform any other pedagogy and related administrative tasks as required.

Educational requirements:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Radiology and Medical Imaging Technology or related field (minimum)

Job Requirements (must-have skills):

• Excellent teaching and presentation skills.
• Ability to constantly innovate in teaching.
• Prior work and teaching experience preferred. Proficient in the knowledge and use of Radiology modalities like X-Ray, Mammography, C-Arm, Ultrasound, Bone Mineral Density (BMD), Fluoroscopy, Computed Tomography (CT) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). Prior work experience practicing as a Radiology Technician in a reputed hospital or diagnostic center preferred (at least two years of work experience, that can include internships while studying).
• Proficient in the use of information technology.
• Strong oral, interpersonal and written communication skills in English and Marathi (preferred).
