Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Teaching and mentorship:

Deliver lectures, clinical demonstrations, and ward rounds for undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Mentor and supervise residents, fellows, and junior faculty in clinical practice and research.
Guide students in values-driven medical practice.

Clinical practice and patient care:

Provide expert care for a range of obstetric and gynecological conditions.
Perform and supervise surgical procedures, including deliveries, cesarean sections, and laparoscopic surgeries.
Manage high-risk pregnancies and emergency obstetric cases.
Oversee patient care and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams.

Research and scholarship:

Lead research initiatives and encourage academic inquiry and publication.
Guide postgraduate students on their research, dissertations, and theses.
Participate in academic activities like conferences and workshops.

Administration and curriculum:

Participate actively in departmental administration and planning.
Develop and update curriculum to maintain high educational standards.
Contribute to programs like Continuing Medical Education (CME).
Participate in student assessments and academic audits.

Professional duties:

Uphold institutional values and contribute to a positive work environment.
Ensure adherence to national and institutional quality standards, such as those from the NMC (National Medical Commission).

Preferred candidate profile

Designation: Associate Professor/ Professor

Qualification: MBBS, MS(OBG)/DNB(OBG)

Experience: 5-20yrs (Experience in Medical College is Mandatory)
