As a Lead Engineer at Amdocs Global Delivery Openet unit, your role is crucial in ensuring the successful deployment of our product, guiding customers on tailoring solutions to meet their business needs, and creating customized solution designs. Your responsibilities include: - Analyzing business requirements, performing impact assessments, and effort estimations. - Collaborating with architects for scope breakdowns. - Supporting the design process through backlog management and guiding towards definition of ready. - Designing, developing, debugging, and maintaining software customizations. - Leading defect handling in solutions and providing technical input to project status. - Collaborating with teams, participating in code reviews, and resolving interfacing issues. - Leading discussions related to the product and building relationships with internal teams. - Demonstrating a proven track record of delivering complex integration projects to multiple customers. - Working with high-performance real-time multi-threaded microservices. - Having practical exposure to Java, DevOps pipelines, and Kubernetes. - Possessing a working knowledge of TCP/IP and HTTP protocols. - Demonstrating structured programming experience with advanced knowledge in Java. - Holding a relevant degree in computer science or software engineering and showing curiosity to learn more. It would be beneficial if you also have: - Several years of commercial experience within a telecommunication environment. - Working experience in the charging or policy telecom domain. - The ability to influence key stakeholders and gain buy-in on technical decisions. - A positive, solution-focused attitude and a willingness to take on challenges. - Practical experience with genAI, code assistants to support daily tasks. - Exposure to Diameter. - Understanding of architecture patterns in Geo-redundancy, Failover, Failure, and Robustness handling.
