Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Work as primary system administrator on production and non-production AWS infrastructure, servers and appliances. Administrate, maintain and improve production AWS server environment, utilizing AWS cloud technologies and the latest industry standard development and automation tools
Work as primary system administrator on production and non-production, Ubuntu based Linux servers.
Maintain, improve and harden primarily Linux production, QA and dev servers supporting Java and PHP, DotNet based web applications.
Administrate, maintain production environments.
Administrate and support a small number of Windows production servers.
Day to day administration of dev, QA and other non-production systems.
Deploy, configure and maintain software and hardware tools and appliances.
Create and review technical and process documentation.
Audit and improve technical and procedural processes from an operational and security standpoint.
Change, implement and improve technical systems and processes, software, hardware and environments to improve operation, workflow, efficiency and security.
Support all technical and security resources in planned project and reactive day to day tasks
Support internal users and technical resources as required.
Research, evaluate and test new technologies.
