Production Supervisor

As a Production Supervisor in the manufacturing department based in Coimbatore, you will play a crucial role in overseeing daily production operations and ensuring high-quality output. Your responsibilities will include: - Supervising and coordinating daily production activities for steel roofing sheet manufacturing on the shop floor. - Monitoring machine operations like roll forming, cutting, and corrugation to optimize performance. - Ensuring production output meets quality and quantity targets. - Allocating tasks to machine operators, helpers, and support staff while overseeing their performance. - Monitoring raw material usage and coordinating with the stores department for timely replenishment. - Identifying and reporting machine issues or breakdowns for prompt resolution by the maintenance team. - Ensuring strict adherence to safety, quality, and operational procedures. - Maintaining accurate production records, shift reports, and documentation. - Supporting continuous improvement efforts in process efficiency and waste reduction. - Training new employees and operators on standard operating procedures and safety practices. - Coordinating with the quality control team to minimize rework and material wastage. Qualifications Required: - Education: ITI, Diploma, or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering. - Experience: 0 to 3 years in a manufacturing unit, preferably in steel product manufacturing or roofing sheet production. Skills Required: - Understanding of production planning and quality assurance. - Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. - Familiarity with safety standards and workplace compliance. - Knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
