Job Title: Shift In-charge
Shift: Rotational (3 Shifts, if applicable)

Role & Responsibilities

• Shift Operations
• Manage and supervise complete shift operations.
• Ensure production targets are achieved as per plan.
• Proper handover and takeover between shifts.
• Manpower Management
• Allocate manpower as per machine and process requirement.
• Monitor attendance, discipline, and productivity of workers.
• Guide and train operators and helpers.
• Production & Quality Control
• Ensure production is as per SOP, quality standards, and specifications.
• Monitor process parameters and minimize rejection, rework, and wastage.
• Coordinate with Quality Department for batch clearance.
• Machine & Maintenance Coordination
• Ensure machines are operated safely and efficiently.
• Inform maintenance team in case of breakdowns.
• Maintain machine downtime and breakdown records.
• Safety & Compliance
• Ensure safety rules and PPE usage during shift.
• Follow ISO, GMP, 5S, and company systems.
• Maintain proper documentation and shift records.
• Material & Inventory Control
• Ensure availability of raw materials and packing materials.
• Control material wastage and improper handling.
• Maintain shift-wise material consumption records.
• Documentation & Reporting
• Prepare shift reports, production reports, and incident reports.
• Record deviations, quality issues, and corrective actions.
• Maintain logbooks and batch records.
• Coordination & Communication
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Stores, and Dispatch.
• Communicate issues immediately to seniors.
• Support audits and inspections.

Skills & Competencies

• Leadership and team-handling skills
• Knowledge of production processes
• Basic knowledge of ISO / GMP / SOP
• Problem-solving and decision-making ability
• Good communication skills
• Basic computer knowledge (Excel, reports)

Qualification & Experience

• Education: Diploma / ITI / Graduate (as applicable)
• Experience: 2–5 years in manufacturing/production environment
