Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Pressure vessels / Tanks / Heat Exchangers ------Welding, Cutting, Fabrication/ NDT Level Inspection/ Testing

Preferred candidate profile

Fabrication & Welding

Perform cutting, welding, and assembly of steel plates, pipes, and components for pressure vessels, tanks, and heat exchangers.
Interpret engineering drawings, codes (ASME, API, ISO), and fabrication standards.
Operate welding machines (SMAW, GTAW, GMAW) and cutting tools (plasma, oxy-fuel).
Ensure weld quality, dimensional accuracy, and adherence to WPS (Welding Procedure Specifications).

Inspection & Testing
Conduct
NDT inspections
(Level II or Level III depending on qualification) using methods such as:

Perform hydrostatic and pneumatic pressure tests on completed vessels/tanks.
Document inspection results and prepare quality assurance reports.

Quality & Safety
Ensure compliance with ASME Section VIII, API 650/660, and other relevant codes.

Follow strict safety protocols during fabrication and testing.
Maintain calibration of inspection equipment and welding tools.

Qualifications & Skills

BE/BTECH Engineering or equivalent technical field.
Certification in
NDT Level II/III
(ASNT, ISNT, or equivalent).
Experience in fabrication and welding of heavy equipment (pressure vessels, tanks, exchangers).
Knowledge of welding codes (ASME IX, AWS D1.1).
Strong understanding of QA/QC procedures and documentation.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and P&IDs.

Work Environment

Workshop and site-based fabrication/inspection.
Collaboration with design engineers, QA/QC teams, and project managers.
Exposure to heavy machinery, high-pressure testing, and strict safety standards.
