Production Engineer

Role Objective: To ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality production processes through continuous optimization, process standardization, and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced lithium-ion battery manufacturing environment. Responsibilities: Monitor daily production line operations to ensure efficiency, safety, and product quality. Assist in setting up, fine-tuning, and stabilizing manufacturing processes for improved throughput. Conduct time-motion studies and root cause analysis to identify and resolve production bottlenecks. Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities for production machinery and equipment. Ensure strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and regulatory guidelines. Maintain up-to-date process documentation, including production logs, technical reports, and deviation records. Lead or support cost-reduction initiatives and lean manufacturing projects. Collaborate with quality assurance to reduce defects, rework, and scrap rates. Assist in onboarding and training production personnel on revised or new processes. Monitor compliance with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations. Participate in continuous improvement (Kaizen) and Six Sigma projects. Optimize raw material usage and streamline material flow to reduce waste. Ensure timely equipment calibration and upkeep as per maintenance schedules. Work closely with R&D teams to scale up and implement new battery technologies or design changes. Drive root cause investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for process non-conformities. Preferred candidate profile: Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering / Diploma in Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Min 4 years of experience in a production engineering role, preferably in battery manufacturing, automotive, or electronics industries.
