Production Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Production Planning & Execution:

• Plan, monitor, and execute daily transformer manufacturing activities as per production schedules.
  
• Handle processes such as

  core building, coil winding, assembly, tanking, oil filtration, and testing

  .

• Manufacturing & Process Control:

• Supervise the

  remanufacturing and repair

  of power and distribution transformers.
• Review engineering drawings, BOMs, and ensure proper material utilization.
  

• Quality & Productivity Improvement:

• Work closely with the QA/QC team to ensure in-process and final inspections are met.
  
• Identify process bottlenecks and implement continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, Lean, 5S).
  
• Minimize rework and wastage through effective monitoring and preventive action.
  

• Coordination & Reporting:

• Collaborate with the design, purchase, and testing departments for smooth operations.
  
• Maintain production reports, daily logs, and performance metrics.
  
• Support internal audits and production documentation.
  

• Safety & Compliance:

• Ensure all safety procedures and work instructions are followed on the shop floor.
  
• Promote a culture of safety, discipline, and cleanliness (5S).
  

Preferred candidate profile

• Candidates having

  experience in transformer manufacturing / remanufacturing industries

  will be preferred.
• Should possess

  strong practical knowledge of production floor activities

  .
• Willing to work in a

  shop-floor environment

  and handle

  team supervision

  .
• Candidates from

  electrical equipment, heavy engineering, or transformer units

  are desirable.
• Good communication, planning, and coordination skills.
  
• Ready to work in

  rotational shifts (if required)

  and meet production timelines.
