Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Production Management

    • Monitor the entire production process and make adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
    • Coordinate with the production team to ensure that production targets are met on time.
    • Review and implement production schedules based on demand forecasts and resource availability.

Process Improvement

    • Analyze production processes to identify inefficiencies or bottlenecks and develop solutions for improvement.
    • Implement lean manufacturing techniques, Six Sigma, and other best practices to optimize production efficiency.
    • Collaborate with the engineering team to design and test new production processes.

Quality Control

    • Work closely with the quality control team to ensure products meet company standards and customer expectations.
    • Monitor and inspect production output to detect any issues or defects and take corrective actions.
    • Ensure compliance with safety and quality regulations within the production area.

Equipment and Maintenance

    • Monitor and maintain production equipment to ensure optimal functionality and minimize downtime.
    • Coordinate with the maintenance team to schedule regular inspections and repairs.
    • Evaluate and recommend upgrades or new equipment to enhance production capacity and efficiency.

Resource Management

    • Plan and allocate resources, including manpower, materials, and equipment, to maximize production efficiency.
    • Collaborate with procurement and inventory teams to ensure the availability of raw materials and components for uninterrupted production.

Data Collection and Reporting

    • Collect and analyze data related to production output, efficiency, and quality metrics.
    • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports for management review.
    • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as production yield, downtime, and cost per unit.

Team Coordination and Development

    • Work closely with other departments (e.g., procurement, logistics, and quality control) to coordinate production activities.
    • Provide training and support to production staff, ensuring they understand and follow production protocols.
    • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and safety within the production team.

Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE)

    • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
    • Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and emergency drills to promote safety awareness.
    • Implement environmental standards to minimize the impact of production activities on the environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related field).
  • 2-5 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
