Production Engineer

Job Description

1. Shift Management and Team Supervision: Take charge of production activities during the assigned shift, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to schedules. Allocate tasks and responsibilities to team members based on production needs and individual skills, ensuring optimal utilization of manpower and machinery. 2. Production Execution and Management: Collaborate with the Assistant Manager Production to execute daily production plans as per PPIC schedules. Monitor workflows in Chain Link, Shearing, Weld Mesh, and Single/Multi Punch sections, ensuring smooth operations and making adjustments as necessary. Act as the first point of escalation for any production challenges, resolving them or reporting to the Senior Engineer as required. 3. Machine Oversight and Maintenance Coordination Supervise the operation of machines, including manual and automatic equipment, ensuring proper setups as per product specifications. Work with the Production Supervisor and Maintenance team to address machine setups, preventive maintenance, or breakdowns. 4. Quality Control and Assurance Train team members on quality standards and practices ensuring consistent adherence to specifications. Inspect raw materials and monitor the quality of output, addressing deviations promptly. 5. Reporting and Documentation Update and maintain accurate production logs, documenting machine performance, output, downtime, and incidents. Provide daily and periodic reports to the Assistant Manager Production, highlighting key metrics and areas for improvement. 6. Safety and Compliance Enforce safety protocols, including proper use of PPE and adherence to machine handling procedures. Conduct regular safety briefings and training sessions to maintain awareness and compliance. Ensure all activities align with company policies and industry regulations, addressing compliance issues proactively.
