Job Description

The Product Specialist is responsible for driving sales and business growth of sports medicine and upper extremities products, including implants, instruments, and capital devices. This role involves building strong relationships with healthcare professionals, providing technical support, and achieving sales targets in a designated territory. Key Responsibilities include promoting and selling the SM & UE product portfolio to surgeons and hospitals, identifying and developing new business opportunities, meeting and exceeding sales targets, conducting regular sales visits and product presentations, and demonstrations to healthcare professionals. Customer Relationship Management is crucial, requiring the candidate to build and maintain strong relationships with surgeons, hospital administrators, and key decision-makers, provide post-sales support, address technical queries, and ensure customer satisfaction for repeat business. Market Analysis involves monitoring market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities and challenges, collaborating with the marketing team to develop sales strategies, promotional activities, and campaigns. Planning & Forecasting responsibilities include preparing and submitting sales reports, forecasts, and performance metrics to management, ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements in all sales activities. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for this role include the achievement of monthly and quarterly sales targets, growth in new accounts, and retention rates of existing clients. Qualifications required for this position include a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Bachelors in Pharmacy or a related field; an MBA is advantageous. A minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the medical device or orthopedics industry, preferably with Arthroscopy or Arthroplasty or Trauma, is essential. Strong knowledge of the Arthroscopy market, excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, ability to work independently, and manage time effectively are necessary. Willingness to travel extensively within the territory, strong problem-solving skills, and a customer-first approach are also required attributes for this role.,
